My Brief Eternity: Ar Awyr Le

To support the opening of a new Maggie’s Centre in Velindre Cancer Centre South East Wales in 2017, Maggie’s Centres is partnering with Brightest Films, led by award-winning director Clare Sturges, and University of Wales Trinity Saint David to celebrate the work of the late artist Osi Rhys Osmond: through an artwork commission and documentary film.

This powerful project gives members of the public the opportunity to gain an insight into Osi’s practice as an artist, his fascinating and erudite reflections on the human condition, and his experiences as a man coping with cancer. It will raise awareness of the contribution Osi has made to the cultural heritage of Wales and attract attention to the brilliant work of Maggie’s Centres. Further information here.

The artwork will eventually find permanent exhibition space at the new Maggie’s South East Wales Centre being built by Dow Jones Architects in 2017.
