More about Media Active
Director, Sue Gainsborough, has led on and partnered a number of film education, audience and rural cinema developments in rural Shropshire over the past 17 years.

Adventures (aka Adventures in Alternative Cinema), is MediaActive’s Young Programmer scheme, and has, over the years, tried different approaches to audience development, engaging with different groups of young people and partner organisations, in a variety of ways, and in a host of locations. Adventures has also supported new Young Programmer start ups and partnership projects across North West England, and the West Midlands.

Sue will share learning, ideas and handy hints, and there will be opportunity to consider venue specific problems and opportunities on the day.

“Networking. Open discussion - very useful to understand what others are doing, and know others have
similar problems and innovative solutions (food was excellent too).”
