For 15 years, Gentle/Radical have been running grassroots film screenings open to EVERYONE, but with a focus on marginalized groups - particularly BAME communities - who are often not able to access cinema or cultural provisions because of social and economic barriers. We aim to take away those barriers  by providing subsidized tickets, a creche for anyone who has small children and curating our programmes so that they are accessible to those with second language English.

Our Film Club for older people returns this January with another exciting documentary! Paa Joe - once an acclaimed ‘artist’ in Ghana’s fantasy coffin trade - now watches the world go past his small roadside shack. His son dreams of helping his father return to his glory days and learning the tricks of the trade. In this poetic and heart-warming documentary, we follow their four-year journey as father teaches son to conquer love and death, and the apprentice becomes the master!
